Mobile application and Mobile gaming, specifically targeting iOS, has been a long-time goal for me. Although I’ve danced around app and game development, learning Objective-C, Cocos2D, and used a couple game engines in the past, a refresher on mobile app development is long overdue.
I’m not sure if I’ll get back into game development- honestly, I could probably do an entire blog series on how incredibly difficult it is to produce a quality game experience. Even after creating something worthy to be played, there’s no guarantee that gamers will download it, and make you rich beyond your wildest imagination.
I’m knee deep in Python code at the moment. It’s the most valuable skill for me to pick up with where I am in my professional life. It’s why I’m going for the once more. However, there are a couple new topics that I’ll be considering this year, regarding skills to pickup:
Don’t think that my learning is all over the place. Eventually, this will all tie together in a project that I’ve been brainstorming over…. but, let’s not put the cart before the horse. Keep hustling, Jay, Keep hustling.
