Now that argparse is somewhat figured out for the brandywine tool, the next order of business is to work on the search function. I started out working on simple requests that didn’t require any input- just simple API calls that output data from each of the json responses.
Kicking it up a notch, I began working on the search method. I quickly realized that some refactoring is needed. I’m basically ‘massaging the data’ the same way with every call, so I think I can pull the formatting piece out into it’s own method. I’m also thinking that if I want to see ALL of the data returned in a json response, I’ll probably have to write a recursive method call that parses through all of the entries. Either way, the focus right now for brandywine is honing in on making search work correctly.
