Noodling about SaaS

As I make my way down programmer’s lane, I can feel my mind starting to open up, specifically around some of the ideas that I’ve yet to implement. One of them is a Software-as-a-Service solution- much like Wordpress, Salesforce, and etc. Although my idea is not similar to those products in the service(s) they provide, but similar in that they are all ‘ multi-tenancy ’ SaaS solutions- single deployment applications that serve more than one tenant (i.e. management entity, or company).

I’m doing a little bit of preliminary research around building multi-tenancy SaaS applications, but most of it is at a high-level, and none of what I found really takes you step-by-step through the process. Perhaps it is because there is not a defined process, but more of a pattern that you should follow. Still, I figured that I’d share this with you guys, because noodling about saas may end up curving what I learn about during my .

Food for thought…
