Today was a full day of comprehensive review for my OpenStack training. As most of you know, I’m an operations guy- the ‘ops’ side of DevOps as you might characterize. Anyway, the business is moving rapidly towards the ‘Cloud’, and it’s going to get increasingly important (in the near future) to understand ‘what makes rain, hail, snow and earthquakes’. OpenStack is a cool technology- I can’t wait to dig into it even more. Neutron networking is not for the faint of heart; you’ve got to have a good grasp on networking principles to really understand what’s going on underneath the covers.
But, that’s not why you’re here, is it? You’re interested in my 11th update. Well, I managed to sneak in another pull request, adding the forecast feature to wthr.py:
I also managed to do a little more JSON work on brandywine, but tonight I’ve really been focusing on prepping for my OpenStack exam tomorrow. No excuse- I promised to write code everyday for 180 days, and I did. Even if I had to sneak it in through the side door.
